The project with Modern Pest, a subsidiary of Anticimex, aimed to address the inefficiencies of their existing customer relationship management (CRM) tool. The previous system was complex, difficult to use, and had a steep learning curve, leading to increased training time for sales reps and inaccuracies in product pricing. To overcome these challenges, Modern Pest sought a custom-fit solution that would streamline the order setup process for new customers, reduce training times, and improve pricing accuracy.
In response, Portland Webworks embarked on creating a new application named ‘Agreement’. This application was designed to simplify the order intake process through integrations with Zillow for auto-populating property information, PestPac for CRM and service scheduling, and PandaDoc for e-signing service contracts. The use of an Agile, iterative approach and commonly available tools like Google’s Material UI facilitated the development of a user-friendly MVP. The result was a significant enhancement in Modern Pest’s operational efficiency, notably speeding up the customer order setup process and reducing data entry errors.
